Happy Fourth!

This last weekend was the 4th of July! The fourth is one of my favorite holidays. I love the atmosphere of it all. We woke up bright and early and headed off to our annual neighborhood breakfast. After enjoying a yummy omelet, we watched the parade, and then had a tasty snowcone. I would never eat a snowcone at 10 in the morning on any other day, but my 4th of July would not be complete if I didn't. After the neighborhood breakfast we all went home and took a power nap. It felt good to have no plans and just relax for a few hours.

Around 6 a few families from our ward came over for a bbq. The food was delicious and it was fun to talk and laugh with the neighbors. The best part of the evening followed the bbq. The big FIREWORKS at Holladay elementary. Fireworks are my favorite. This may be hard to believe because I used to be terrified of fireworks as a young child. I would cry hysterically and run inside every time my dad struck the match to light one. BUT... I have conquered my fear, and I love watching fireworks. I wish Matt could have been there to enjoy them with me, but there is always next year!

It was a great 4th of July, and I am so excited for the rest of the summer. I have some really fun trips planned. I can't wait!

All of the girls waiting for the fireworks to start.
